Hello and welcome to my world!

I'm Zoey, China's youngest Professional Certified Coach(PCC) and Co-active Professional Certified Coach(CPCC). Over the last 4 years, I've coached over 300 global entrepreneurs and professionals towards their passion and mission.

Currently, I'm based in Mountain View, U.S., where I continue my journey as a storytelling coach and a Body-Mind-Soul influencer with over 10,000 followers and 10,000+ views on my podcast, "One Hundred Ways to Evolution".

For entrepreneurs and business professionals seeking passion, energy, and autonomy, I offer coaching services that blend global insights, hands-on corporate experience, and unique therapies like storytelling, phototherapy, and creative arts to spark profound transformations in their lives.

As Stefan Zweig once said, “The greatest fortune in a person's life is to discover his mission when he is still young and strong.” Following this ethos, I found my calling in life coaching at 22, right after completing my marketing master’s degree in Germany: inspire humankind’s potential through transformative education and communication.

In the last five years, working as a marketing expert at ByteDance and Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, I've faced various challenges. From being treated unfairly to working in a high-pressure environment, I’ve also achieved remarkable feats like producing the first-ever business documentary about the E-commerce economy with Harvard Business Review and earning promotions to senior management roles.

Through these experiences, I've gained an understanding of the mental struggles professionals face and am confident in guiding you through life's suffering.

Below, you can explore my two-decade journey of searching for my mission. I believe my fate is deeply intertwined with our times. We are all small parts in the tide of time, yet we each have the power to make conscious and active choices.

I hope my stories inspire you to live a life fulfilled by your true callings.

The Early Years

I was born in a small city in Guangdong, China, into an educator family: my father, a principal of a middle school, and my mother, a high school math teacher, both dedicated over 30 years to education. Growing up in such an environment, I was immersed in an atmosphere that emphasized learning and growth.

Since seven, I often joined my mother on her nighttime visits to students. I remember meeting a gifted young painter, who was unsupported by his fisher parents to pursue education beyond middle school. Witnessing his thwarted dream sparked my desire to help others fully realize their potential.

I discovered my learning talents early and was admitted to Guangdong's best school due to my high grades, later enrolling in China’s top business school.

At university, I focused on three main areas: studying German, teaching English to peers, and leading a team of 20 on international education projects across China, the U.S., Singapore, Germany, and the Philippines. These projects aimed to foster cross-cultural understanding and youth leadership.

These rich experiences nourished and inspired me to pursue my mission.

Into a Black Hole

In autumn 2016, I moved to Germany for my master's degree. There, loneliness and alienation hit me like a cold wind. The student dormitory felt like an abandoned factory, isolated from the bustling city life. This isolation led me to question my existence and the meaning of life.

In this solitude, I found a life mentor in India. During a winter afternoon, I asked her, "Without external goals, what is my passion?" This marked the start of my exploration into life’s deeper meanings.

After a year of soul-searching, I found a central belief: everyone is born with a mission and creativity, waiting to be inspired and released.

At the end of 2017, I made a bold move. I proposed to work as the chief representative of a Chinese education media in Europe. At the Online Education Berlin, wearing a bright red dress, I interviewed influential educators, including Finnish educator Dr. Pasi Sahlberg. My articles reached thousands, influencing Chinese educators and parents.

Looking back, I'm grateful for my time in Germany. It was in the silence and emptiness that I faced myself and defined my life's path. In that darkness, I found my life's passion and mission and discovered my strength - an unconditional belief and optimism in life.

Nurturing the Inner Artist

While working in an entrepreneurial program at CKGSB, the top business school in China, I designed learning experiences for entrepreneurs in collaboration with giants like Microsoft, Tencent, Bytedance, Baidu, and JD.com.

Here, I noticed a pattern: successful entrepreneurs often struggled with family life. To address this, I initiated a family forum for CEOs and their families, focusing on parenting strategies and enhancing family dynamics. This experience reinforced my belief that entrepreneurship is about nurturing the whole person – mind, body, and spirit.

In 2020, the pandemic changed the world. Observing the varied reactions of entrepreneurs and friends, I began offering coaching to those around me. I vividly recall one night at 10 p.m., exhausted from work, I opened the laptop and coached a client who suffered from family trauma to regain confidence in relationships. After the coaching, we both felt enveloped in the profound warmth of our shared humanity, a reminder of the resilience and courage that bind us all, even in the most challenging times.

This period also marked a personal transformation for me. At a lakeside retreat, I confronted my past self - always striving for external validation. Watching the flowers waving in the wind, I realized our inherent connection to nature's rhythms. This led me to embrace writing, meditation, and deepen my coaching studies. I also started my podcast “100 Ways to Evolution” to help more people begin their internal self-discovery. This journey taught me the richness of our inner world, surpassing external achievements.

Centering Myself in Career Darkness

As I delved deeper into coaching, I saw the limitations of the offline educational model and joined ByteDance to lead the learning center in TikTok E-Commerce. This move was driven by my belief that I needed more business world experience to gain deeper insights into humanity.

I faced immense challenges in the fast-paced internet industry, from learning new industry knowledge to dealing with governance and rules. This period of despair led me to Isha Kriya Yoga, which helped me center myself each day. A Buddhism retreat further instilled in me a sense of acceptance and resilience.

Rather than leaving ByteDance, I challenged myself to address the governance issues, eventually delivering a successful solution. This experience marked a dawn in my career, teaching me that even in darkness, I could find light and the strength to overcome challenges. It equipped me with the resilience needed to coach others facing life and career challenges.

Taking a Leap of Faith

During my three years at the high tech company ByteDance, I gradually felt that the company's efficiency-driven, impersonal culture didn’t sit right with my values. I realized a common pattern of human suffering. In this outdated industrial revolution-era model, people were still being programmed to operate like machines, constantly competing and trapped in a cycle of anxiety, frustration, and fear. This mechanistic viewpoint is also at the root of our concerns about being replaced by AI. “It’s time to shift the old pattern”, I told myself. However, the possible failure of the venture haunted me, especially in times of economic recession.

A pivotal moment came last winter. Lying in a hospital bed, awaiting MRI results after a slip, I heard a strong voice in my heart calling out: “If tomorrow never comes, what would I regret not doing?” Thankfully, my MRI showed no issues, but it felt like god sportively knocked on my head, “It is time to pursue your passion!” I realized what I really yearned for in my heart to be a life coach and a spiritual education entrepreneur who inspired thousands to lead fulfilling lives.

So six months after the slipping accident, I left Bytedance to officially start my dream venture – Life Artist. By directly facing the fear about the uncertainty and making the leap of faith, I experienced what courage really is: do what you love even when you are scared!

Today, I stand empowered and free from my past fears and anxieties. I've moved beyond the corporate narrative, embracing my mission on a path less traveled. And I will be dedicated to this spiritual entrepreneurial journey, striving to serve a better world.
